EVENTS

Lobby Day 2025 was a huge success! On January 15th, over 25 midwives, students, and family members from VMA, Virginia ACNM, and the Virginia birth world at large joined us in Richmond. We met with over 20 Virginia legislators to discuss legislation to improve maternal health care for Virginia's birthing families. We were introduced in the House by Delegate Jeion Ward, our sponsor for HB1923 and its corresponding budget amendment. Multiple legislators thanked us sincerely for coming to advocate for our bills and for our work in our communities. We are grateful for their support and excited about the work moving forward to improve maternal health care in Virginia, especially in rural communities and addressing health care disparities.
